"There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light [Jesus] that gives light to every man was coming into the world." (John 1:6-9)
It is my greatest hope and prayer that my artwork bears faithful testimony to the truth and light of Jesus Christ, speaking of Him first and foremost as the Saviour and Redeemer of the world.
My art is also a record of the journey on which God has personally taken me and so also speaks of Him as Lord, Friend, Teacher, Guide, Refuge, Strength, Shield, Deliverer, Comforter, Healer and many other things. It is my prayer for the sceptic and for the inquirer that God will communicate His invisible but very real existence and workings through my visual artwork. (See "A Message”).

For this reason, some of John the Baptist Artworks' (JTBA's) artwork is evangelistic. To some, a small portion of it may even come across as "provocative" in certain ways. However, all of it is moved by a spirit of love for all people and respect of each individual's free will. JTBA offers this message of forgiveness, restoration and hope to everyone.
Many other witnesses, from a myriad of backgrounds, cultures and nations, also testify to this message under “Salvation Testimonies”. Coming from vastly different backgrounds, they tell of how they first experienced Jesus personally and how He has since changed their lives.

JTBA also seeks to encourage born again Christians in their relationships with God (See "A Message for Christians"). Furthermore, this ministry also urges Christians to fulfill their role in the Great Commission by reaching the ‘unreached’ people groups, who are very dear to the heart of God. This site provides links to 2 different ministries (Gospel For Asia and Africa For Jesus) focussed on reaching them through indigenous missionaries and provides information and excerpts of the 2 excellent free books they offer. (See “Free Books”).
Lastly, John the Baptist Artworks serves those who purchase and commission both secular and Christian artwork and prints. Some of the artwork on this site has been done on commission. My highest priority in commissioned work is to make sure I capture, to the best of my ability, the image in the mind's eye of my client and to offer it for an affordable price.
All artwork through John the Baptist Artworks is done for the glory of God and will be used according to His sovereign purpose in each viewer’s life.
